The Franklin Half Dollar was minted from 1948-1963 and produced at various mint branches: Philadelphia, Denver and San Francisco. Respectively, this will mean that the coins will bear either no mint mark, a ‘D’ mint mark, or a ‘S’ mint mark.
Each coin contains .3617 oz of silver.
Obverse: John Sinnock’s design of Benjamin Franklin with “Liberty” above and “In God We Trust” below.
Reverse: Depiction of the Liberty Bell with a small eagle to the right, fulfilling the requirement of half dollars depicting an eagle.
