Development Updates

Development Update – 2 Aug 2026

Since announcing that RCC Operations went live, development has continued behind the scenes almost every day. Most of the recent work isn’t immediately visible on the website, but it has significantly improved how Richard’s Coin Corner operates.

The focus has been on making the day-to-day workflow faster, more reliable, and reducing the amount of manual work required to keep everything current.

One of the biggest milestones has been removing the spreadsheet that previously acted as the bridge between RCC Operations and the website.

Today, the website now receives its data directly from RCC Operations.

This includes:

  • Live precious metals spot pricing
  • USD/JPY exchange rate
  • Published product pricing
  • Current inventory quantities

This means product pricing and stock levels are now managed from a single source, reducing manual updates and helping ensure the information on the website stays current.

Behind the scenes, dozens of workflow improvements have also been made, including enhancements to pricing tools, inventory management, and the internal systems used to operate the business.

Development is continuing with a major overhaul of the Special Orders workflow, which will further improve the process for customer special orders while keeping them separate from regular inventory management.

Thank you for following along as Richard’s Coin Corner continues to grow. Every improvement brings us one step closer to a faster, more reliable, and more capable platform.

Major Development Milestone: RCC Operations Goes Live (20 July 2026)

The new operations app is live! Most of this work isn’t something you’ll immediately notice on the website, but it’s one of the biggest milestones Richard’s Coin Corner has reached.

Over the past several weeks, I’ve been building a custom operations platform designed specifically for how Richard’s Coin Corner does business. The website is now receiving live data directly from that system through automated synchronization, replacing several manual processes behind the scenes.

This wasn’t built from an off-the-shelf point-of-sale system or inventory package. Every screen, workflow, and feature has been designed around how I want the business to operate.

There isn’t a development team behind this project. Every idea, workflow, test, redesign, bug fix, and late-night brainstorming session has been part of building a system that fits my business instead of forcing my business to fit someone else’s software.

The visible change today is a new live precious metals price display on the website. The real milestone is everything happening behind the scenes to support future growth.

Here are two examples of features that are beginning to move into daily use:

• Sales / POS: A custom point-of-sale workflow that guides customer transactions from quote to completed sale.

• Special Orders: A tool that helps compare available options and prepare quotes for customers looking for specific coins or bullion delivered directly to Okinawa.

These tools are part of the same system that manages pricing, inventory, sales, reporting, and business operations.

There’s still plenty to build, but reaching this point is a major step forward. Every improvement brings Richard’s Coin Corner closer to the long-term vision I have for the business. Thank you to everyone who has supported me along the way. More updates are coming soon!
